Leopard found dead in tea estate area
PTI | 01:11 PM,Nov 22,2011Udhagamandalam (TN), Nov 22 (PTI): A two-and half year old female leopard was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a tea estate in Billikambai area in Kothagiri, about 30 Km from here, forest department sources said. Some villagers noticed the leopard lying in the area foaming around the mouth yesterday and immediately informed department officials. However it died before the officials reached the spot, they said. Officials suspect the leopard might have eating some poisonous substance and said the post-mortem would throw light on the exact cause of death.
