Injured female leopard killed in Corbett National Park, Ramnagar, Nainital, Uttarakhand
3 yr old injured female leopard, that was rescued by the
foresters of the Bailpadav Range, has died in Ramnagar, Uttarakhand.
Nearby Villagers found the leopard in injured state and immediately
informed forest rangers.
Leopard was taken to Bailpadav where veterinary doctors of Jim Corbett Park make a treatment. As the animal was too weak, effort couldn’t save injured leopard
“We rescued a leopard and while bringing it to the Range Office it died on the way. The first reason of death it is speculated either a tiger or some other big animal must have injured it and it died due to the injuries. And the leopard was also very weak and it seems the animal had not eaten anything for many days,” said P C Arya, SDO of Tarai Wild Forest Division, Ramnagar, Nainital.
